just a quick “i really enjoyed this” — Kathryn Schulz on the Ezra Klein Show. it seems like several of the podcasts that i originally went to for specific topics have evolved into wider scopes as popularity brings the ability to interview relevant thinkers for whatever catches the host’s interest. i started with Ezra Klein for the policy… i stay for the sometimes pretty long chains of thematic thinking. merely the acknowledgement that we’re very commonly facing that dual life, of still needing to be able to savor our joys in the midst of both personal and wider tragedies, of facing the overwhelming many-things-at-once, and having a long conversation about it felt helpful.
